Creative Day: 2nd Appointment for Roll Cloud

Creative Day: 2nd Appointment for Roll Cloud

The project involving schools in Piedmont ends with two challenges.

The second “creative day” will end the third edition of Project Roll Cloud – Working in the Cloud, an innovative course that introduces secondary school students in Piedmont to the cloud and professions of the future. This year, the project has involved ca. 3000 students. Promoted by the Fondazione Mondo Digitale ETS, as part of Opening Future, a joint project developed by Google CloudIntesa Sanpaolo, and TIM Enterprise, dedicated to the development of digital skills.

The second creative challenge, reserved for upper secondary school students, will be held in Turin’s Area X on May 9. Over 60 students from five schools in Piedmont with different programmes(technical, scientific, and artistic) will participate in the event:

The students participating in the challenge have developed 11 projects selected from a total of 26, based on a series of criteria: understanding of cloud services, critical analysis, clarity, comprehensibility, originality, presentation, and communication.

The students will be supported by 12 professors, six company experts (two from Intesa Sanpaolo, two from Tim Enterprise, and two from Google Cloud), and three coaches from the Fondazione Mondo Digitale (Giorgio Fontana, Simone Bordignon, Elisa Chierchiello).

Compared to the first Creative Day, the second will be organised as a hackathon. Subdivided into groups of 4-5 students, the teams will work on a sustainability challenge launched in the morning. At the end of the common work, the teams will present their products to a jury of experts.
